Starting and Stopping

This small 12″ x 12″ mixed media canvas has a lot of visual texture and collage elements. You’ll see bits of map pages taken from an old road atlas (remember those!?!) I met my husband while working for a map publishing company, so I often have pieces of old maps in my paintings. Sometimes, they are visible, sometimes they get covered over with layers of paint – it’s my secret wink to him. It would be perfect in a study / home office or bedroom – any small space in need of a burst of color.
