Watching for Bluebirds

Exhibiting at the Woman's Art Club Juried Show

So excited to be participating in the 129th Annual Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati Juried Show. “Watching for Bluebirds”
(24″ x 24″ Mixed Media on Canvas) Spring is my favorite time of year and one of the best things about spring is the return of the Bluebirds. In late February, I clean out the Bluebird house and wait. Happily, I’ve seen a pair of Bluebirds working on their nest. I love the Bluebirds for their color – they are the most beautiful shade of blue! In this painting, I worked to capture the soft muted colors of early spring. My goal was to create a sense of wind, blossoms, sun, rain, and glimpses of blue as the Bluebirds dart through the air gathering nesting material.
